RACE APPLICATION FORM

Thank you for applying to enter the 15^th edition of the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race.

Please supply all the information requested so we can evaluate your application as quickly as possible. Application fees in Canadian dollars are non-refundable unless your application is returned by the Organizing Authority, Black Wolf Racing. Please see the Notice of Race for all details regarding fees, refunds and wait lists.

The application fee is $400.00 and accompanies the submission of this form. Once the application has been submitted, reviewed, and accepted boats will be notified and an invoice comprising of an LOA fee of $350 per meter and a non-refundable tracker fee of $400 will be sent. These fees increase on November 1st to $450.00 for the application fee due immediately, $370.00 per meter for the LOA fee and $450 for the non-refundable tracker fee.

I/we have read the Notice of Race issued for the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race and agree to be bound by the rules and regulations therein.

I/we have read the Notice of Race issued for the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race and agree to be bound by the rules and regulations therein, in the Sailing Instructions or in any Addenda or Amendments to either document. In consideration of acceptance of my/our race entry, and my crew members and I being permitted to take part in the race, I/we agree to save hold harmless and indemnify Blast Performance Sailing Inc., their organizers, directors, officers and their respective agents, officials, employees, servants and representatives from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses, and demands in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to a person or property, howsoever caused or occasioned by the negligence of the same bodies, or any of them, or their agents officials, servants or representatives. I further understand and agree that this Release is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, and assigns. I certify that the yacht described in this application for entry carries third party insurance in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00 (Canadian) per occurrence, that the policy will be in effect for all consecutive days of the race and that the policy covers yacht-racing activities in the waters surrounding Vancouver Island.

The Skipper shall ensure that each crew member participating in the race, and on every leg of the race, has read a copy of the Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, this waiver and any Addenda or Amendments to any of these documents.

Each participant of the race acknowledges that yacht racing is an inherently dangerous sport and that there is always the risk of personal injury, death, and property damage. Each participant of the race acknowledges that they are participating in the race voluntarily. Each participant agrees that this agreement shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of British Columbia, and that the Courts of British Columbia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over this agreement.

In WITNESS WHEREOF and agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this skippers/owner’s responsibility, waiver, and release the Skipper and the Owner have executed this release on the 06 day of July, 2026.
