is an ISAF International Race Officer. He has also been an ISAF International Technical Official / Course Representative and Race Management Committee member. In addition, Paul participated in 4 Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008) as Race Officer / International Technical Official. Paul was the PRO for the 2003 and 2013 Van Isle 360.
has over 25 years experience sailing one design catamarans as well as keel boats. She was a member of the 2003 Van Isle 360 Race Committee. She has also worked many international one-design continental and world championships primarily as timer, including being a member of the race committee for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Vicki was a member of the 2013 Van Isle Race Committee.
has been racing dinghies and keelboats all her life. She currently coaches the Royal Victoria Yacht Club Opti Race Team, accompanying the athletes to national and international events. She is on the British Columbia Sailing Executive responsible for Athlete Development and has been involved with many race committees in Pacific Northwest. Jenn was a part of the 2013 Van Isle 360 and is looking forward to another great trip around the Island in 2015!
has been part of the sailing community for many years. Racing, cruising, board member of CYA, President BC Sailing, chair of numerous regattas, race committee member — most recently Women’s Match Racing at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She and her daughter Jenn (above) are looking forward to being a part of the 2015 Van Isle 360 RC after having so much fun during the 2013 race, other than being chased by the Tugboat off of Hardwicke Island!
has been a long-time keelboat racer and skipper. She recently skippered her team to second place in the 2012 Canadian Yachting Association Women’s Keelboat Nationals. Along with her husband, David, she cruised the Caribbean for 5 years. She has years of experience as a regatta organizer, most notably in the context of the annual RIPS Canadian Race Week. She also has abundant race committee experience, most recently with Paul at the 2012 F16 Nationals in Panama City, Florida.
has raced keelboats (as skipper and crew) for over 30 years. He cruised the Caribbean for 5 years and, while there, skippered a 60’ catamaran on day cruises. He has organized many regattas, including the RIPS Canadian Race Week, which has hosted the M242 Canadian and North American championships along with handicap racing. David has years of race committee experience, most recently with Paul at the 2012 Canadian Yachting Association Women’s Keelboat Nationals held in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and at the 2012 F16 Nationals in Panama City, Florida.
is a Sail Canada National Judge, experienced match and team race umpire and active racer. With 40 years of experience, he has competed in everything from dinghies to 12m yachts racing round the buoys, long distance and offshore. Mike has served on international juries at several World and Continental championships throughout North America as well as chairing protest committees for local events including Swiftsure and the Oregon Offshore Race.
has raced sail boats since the 1980’s. He has completed the VI360 five times, three times as skipper. He is prepping his boat, Ion, for the 2016 running of the Vic-Maui, but over the past few years, he has also been evolving into race management, being the RO for the Nanaimo Yacht Club’s SIN regatta three times. He is this year’s VI360 Safety Officer, heading the team inspecting competitor’s boats for compliance with the SERs in the days leading up to the launch of this year’s Van Isle 360.
