June 25, 2007 - 1030 hrs - Ucluelet -  Once the sailors arrive in Ucluelet, Marine Drive Properties Ltd., has invited them to play a game of  "closest to the pin" at the beautiful new WYNDANSEA Oceanfront Golf  Resort.  The winner of the contest and three friends will win a trip to Dublin, Ohio where they are invited to play at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Tournament.

June 15, 2007 - Nanaimo - 1800 hrs -  The sixth running of the Cadillac Van Isle 360 was kicked off by a fantastic welcome reception, hosted by the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Save On Foods and Okanagan Spring Brewery. 

Nanaimo Port Authority provided the venue on their Visiting Vessels Pier situated in Nanaimo's beautiful harbour. 

June 14, 2007 - Nanaimo B.C. - Boats preparing for the start of the race on Saturday June 16, get dressed for the event. Caya Signs applies the Cadillac Van Isle 360 bow decals that all 42 entrants will be wearing this year.

May 31, 2007 - The Cadillac Dealers of B.C. and the Province Newspaper have teamed up to offer a chance to win an exclusive Getaway Package to view the start of the Cadillac Van Isle 360 Yacht Race. 

The package consists of the use of a Cadillac Escalade for the day, return airfare from Vancouver to Nanaimo, accommodation and spa retreat and other goodies. May 28, 2007 - Cadillac Van Isle 360 entrants competing in last weekend's Swiftsure International Yacht Race posted impressive wins in many divisions, thus setting the pace for a very competitive Cadillac Van Isle 360 Race in June.  The 2007 Swiftsure Race attracted more than 200 competitors.  The race which goes from Victoria out the Juan de Fuca Strait and back is used as a tune up race for many of the Cadillac 360 yachts.

May 18, 2007 - Come Saturday June 16 at 1030 am Nanaimo Harbour will be full as the record breaking number of 42 yachts, selected to participate in this year's Cadillac Van Isle 360 Yacht Race, line up for the start.

This year's sold out event has attracted a wide spectrum of racing yachts from 25 footers to 102 footers, from veterans built more than 40 years ago to brand new boats all hoping to win one of four divisions as they race around Vancouver Island.

April 23, 2007 - The start of the 2007 Cadillac Van Isle 360 is fast approaching and race organizers are in high gear preparing for this year's sold out event.  42 boats, the largest fleet in the history of the race, are expected on the start line in Nanaimo Harbour on June 16.  "If you line all the boats up end for end they occupy 1680 feet of water with 420 sailors on the boats at any one time. It will certainly make some of the start lines very exciting," says Race Director Wayne Gorrie.......

March 12, 2007 - It is with great sadness that we advise that Mark Livingstone, a member of the Cadillac Van Isle 360 Organizing Committee and Leader of Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit 38 (Ucluelet) passed away unexpectedly on Mar 5, 2007. He was killed instantly in a work related accident and did not suffer.

Feb. 10, 2007 - The Cadillac Van Isle 360 Organizing Committee is pleased to welcome the Vancouver Sailing Club as a new sponsor of the 2007 Cadillac Van Isle 360.

Jan. 11, 2007 - Okanagan Spring Brewery, the oldest and largest craft brewery in B.C., will once again be serving up the cold ones during the 2007 Cadillac Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race. Okanagan Spring Brewery has been a sponsor of this international event since the race began in 1999. In fact, the brewery’s history with the race goes back even further than that.

 Oct. 25 - 2006 - It's official!!  Race organizers announced today that the sixth running of the Cadillac Van Isle 360 will take place June 16 - 30, 2007.
